Awning fascia and soffit reproduction
Sydney Pressed Metal was engaged to reproduce the awning and soffit design at the Morris Hotel after earlier alterations to the building. The published 2021 scope records awning fascia, soffit linings and associated roof-structure work.
The St Catherine design was used on the soffit, and decorative fascia detail that was no longer in production was reproduced for the project.
The Inter-War Palazzo-style building was built in 1929 as Hotel Morris and designed by architect Virgil Cizzio.
