New pressed metal ceilings
Supply-only and installed new pressed metal ceilings are available for residential, commercial and heritage settings. Standard supply-only panels are generally raw aluminium; etch-prime can be added where required. Finishing options can be included as part of an installed project where specified.
Ceiling repair and restoration
Assessment of existing ceiling fabric, repair of damaged panels, treatment of affected metal, and removal, storage, re-use or re-installation where those activities form part of the agreed restoration method.
Pattern matching and reproduction
Where an original design needs to be matched, SPM can assess the existing profile, usable samples or catalogue evidence, available dies or tooling and the condition of the surrounding ceiling before confirming whether repair, reproduction or a new compatible section is appropriate.
Project planning and consultation
SPM works with property owners, builders, architects and heritage consultants to define the ceiling scope, coordinate access and sequencing, and document the agreed work.
Repair, restore or install new?
The correct approach cannot be determined from age alone. SPM first needs to understand the condition of the existing ceiling, the pattern, the amount of material affected, access to the work area and the objectives of the wider project.
- Repair or re-use: suitable for a project where existing material can be retained and the required work is localised.
- Restore with matching work: may involve removal and re-installation, repairs, or reproduced sections where original material is missing or beyond repair.
- Install new: suitable for a new room or fit-out, or where the approved project scope calls for a complete new pressed metal ceiling.
An assessment is required before SPM can confirm the methodology, programme or price.

Standard panels are currently available in 600 × 1800 mm and 900 × 1800 mm formats. The recorded maximum panel dimension is 1800 mm, so longer runs require joins. Final layout and quantities must be confirmed for the selected design and project. Ask SPM about sample availability.

Yes. SPM installs new and heritage-style pressed metal ceilings. The final scope depends on the selected design, the site, access, substrate requirements and project timing.
Can new ceiling panels be supplied without installation?
Yes. Standard new ceiling panels can be supplied only and are generally raw aluminium; etch-prime can be added where required. Installation and finishing are quoted separately where requested.
