What photos, dimensions and project information SPM needs for a quote

SPM RESOURCES · PROJECT PLANNING

Send photographs of the proposed area, dimensions (marked as approximate or exact), the project location and a clear description of the work you need. Add any pattern or finish references, your project stage and preferred timeframe. SPM can review that information and identify what else is needed for a quote.
You do not need to invent missing measurements or settle every product choice before making contact. Label unknown details clearly so the team can discuss the next step.
For a splashback enquiry, include a photograph of the full wall and surrounding fittings. Show the bench layout, windows and cooking appliances as well as the area you want covered. If there are several separate sections, make it clear which photograph relates to each one.
For repair or restoration, provide an overall view and closer photographs of the existing pressed metal and the areas of concern. Describe what you can see without assuming the cause or the repair method. SPM’s published information explains that existing ceilings, awnings, fascia and soffits can be assessed for repair, restoration, matching and agreed replacement work.
These are suggested ways to make an enquiry easier to understand. SPM may request additional photographs or site information after review.
Provide the width and height of each proposed splashback or wall area. Approximate dimensions are useful for an initial enquiry; if you already have exact measurements, identify them as such. Label separate sections, such as “wall A” and “wall B”, and use the same labels in your photographs or sketch. State the units and whether each measurement is approximate or exact.
Include plans or elevations if available, and identify relevant cut-outs, returns and general power outlets (GPOs). For other applications, send the measurements you have and explain what they describe. Do not treat this first enquiry checklist as confirmation of final panel quantities, cutting dimensions or an installation specification.
SPM confirms product suitability, material, finish and the supplied or installed scope for each quote. Providing a reference does not establish that the exact configuration is available.
Use the following headings to organise your message:
For a splashback, the SPM splashbacks page provides application-specific guidance. For work to an existing heritage or commercial installation, explore the heritage and commercial services overview and describe the existing fabric and intended scope.
Explain that the choice is still open and include any references you like. SPM can identify the next information needed to review your project.
No. They help explain the proposed area. Confirm the final product and project requirements with SPM before placing an order or proceeding with work.
Start your quote enquiry using the existing SPM contact form. Choose the relevant enquiry type and paste your project information into the Project Description field. Complete the required fields and attach a photo where useful. If information is missing, say so rather than presenting an estimate as a final specification.
